The New Quantum Era is an independent media and advisory practice founded by Sebastian Hassinger, dedicated to making quantum technology accessible, open, and beneficial. Through podcasts, documentary film, writing, and consulting, NQE bridges the gap between the quantum frontier and the rest of the world.

NQE exists to inform, connect, and empower the people and organizations working to make that future real.

Sebastian Hassinger
Sebastian has spent four decades working at the leading edge of technology — from the earliest days of the commercial internet through leadership roles at Apple, IBM, Oracle, and AWS. He discovered quantum technology in 2016 and never looked back, spending nearly a decade building communities, advising companies, and helping the quantum industry find its footing. In 2021, he co-founded The New Quantum Era podcast, which has grown to 80+ episodes and 200,000+ downloads. Now fully independent, he is a Fellow at the Unitary Foundation and is focused on media, open-source advocacy, and building infrastructure to help quantum hardware move from the lab to the world.
